Relieve dryness, itchiness, skin inflammation and other eczema symptoms with our Eczema Expert blend. This essential oil-enriched, all-natural formulation gets absorbed deep into the skin to restore moisture and repair the skin.

Benefits:

  • Goes deep into the skin tissue to restore moisture
  • Locks in moisture keeping skin hydrated and conditioned for much longer after application
  • Reduces eczema and dermatitis-caused inflammation and itchiness
  • Heals chapped and cracked skin giving it a soft and supple texture
  • Boosts cell-regeneration thereby speeding the healing process
  • Lightens dark patches caused by eczema and evens out skin tone
  • Organic Shea Butter: The primary components of Shea butter include Oleic Acid, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Linoleic Acid (Vitamin F), Cinnamic Acid Esters, Allantoin, Polyphenols (Vitamin E) and Beta-Carotene (Vitamin A). Unlike most plant-based fats where the healing fraction (unsaponifiable fraction) is often less than 1%, Shea butter has a healing fraction that ranges between 7% – 17%, giving Shea its immensely high therapeutic properties. From healing wounds to relieving burnt skin to treating skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and leprosy, Shea butter has been associated with countless medicinal advantages. Here are a few reasons why Shea butter can make for a complete skincare regime all by itself… It’s the perfect moisturizer,Relieves eczema-affected skin, Has anti-ageing effects (Collagen boosting, cell regeneration and antioxidant properties), Reduces Acne, Provides UV Protection,  Scar, Mark and Blemish Reduction.

  • Pure Tea Tree Oil: The antiseptic effects of this oil contribute to the oil’s wound-healing properties. What makes it so desirable, however, is the fact that tea tree oil is as useful in controlling skin oiliness as it is in relieving dry skin and soothing irritation caused by eczema and psoriasis.

  • Pure Lavender Oil: Powerful in healing wounds, bruises and bug bites, lavender oil also drastically lightens scars, blemishes and acne marks. While the antibacterial, antioxidant and non-comedogenic properties effectively combat acne, the oil’s cell regenerative properties and its ability to fight oxidative stress can battle early signs of ageing and minimise the appearance of fine lines.

  • Pure Eucalyptus Oil: By far, one of the best vails to treat acne would be Eucalyptus essential oil, thanks to its strong purifying and cleansing properties that rid pores of impurities and bacterial infections. In addition to fighting acne breakouts, the oil aids in the reduction of pigmentation and gives skin a healthy radiance by hydrating and locking in moisture in the skin.

  • Organic Cocoa Butter: Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, cocoa butter has been universally accepted as a great natural skin care remedy to resolve several skin issues. Its chemical components mainly include Oleic Acids, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Arachidic Acid, Palmitoleic Acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, alpha-Linolenic Acid and Phytosterols, all of which actively contribute to the skin’s overall well being.

  • Organic Coconut Oil: Oil obtained from the fruit of the coconut tree is, by far, the most popular carrier oil in both, aromatic massages and skincare products. Coconut oil owes this popularity to its deep skin moisturising, antifungal and antibacterial properties. Its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects make it perfect to be used in creams and butter used to treat acne and blemishes.

FAQ

What is the difference between whipped and regular Shea butter blend?

As you can probably decipher from the name itself, whipped Shea butter is a whipped version of your normal Shea butter blend with all the benefits and nutrients of its regular counterpart. The only difference is in texture. While easier to apply as compared to raw Shea butter, regular Shea butter XO blends still have a semi-hard, gel-like texture. Whipped blends, on the other hand, have a light, creamy and fluffy texture.

What do you mean by 70% or more shea butter?

It simply means that we don’t dilute down our Shea butter with cheap oils. To maintain the integrity of our Shea butter formulations we only add other nutrient-rich natural ingredients that increase the efficacy of our blends. Our blends have a Shea butter concentration ranging between 70 – 80% which means that a minimum of 70% and a maximum of 80% of our blends’ contents is Shea butter. The Shea butter ratio varies on the basis of how many other ingredients the blend has.

How do I know which essential and carrier oils to select while making my own blends?

The best way to make an informed choice would be to go through our Carrier Oils and Essential Oils Ingredient pages which tell you everything you need to know to make a decision. However, if you still have any confusion or you aren’t much of a reader, feel free to contact us with a detailed description of your skin type and skin issue/s. We will respond back to you within 24 business hours.

How is Shea butter XO different from other Shea butter brands?

Frankly, there are many things that mark us apart from other brands but we will give you just four solid reasons to stick around… 1) You can be assured that you are nourishing your skin with healthy, natural ingredients, 2) You get a high Shea butter concentration blend that isn’t diluted down with cheap ingredients, 3) No matter what your skin type is, you’ll definitely find a blend that suits you and 4) You can create a blend for yourself exactly how you need it to be.

How do you justify your value proposition?

Our product quality says it all! Shea butter XO body and face butters are crafted with a high concentration (70% or more) of the finest quality Shea butter which is blended together with other pure and organic ingredients that optimize application and improve performance.

Where do you source your Shea butter from?

Our organic and well as refined Shea butter are both ethically sourced from a small-scale, fair trade supplier in Ghana, West Africa.

How does Shea butter have so many benefits?

In layman terms, Shea butter is a God-sent miracle product. In technical terms, its chemical composition- mainly comprising of fatty acids and vitamins (A and E)- gives Shea butter moisturising, correcting and healing properties that work wonders on skin, hair and health.

If the benefits of Shea butter are true why isn’t everyone using it?

Because not many people are aware of the countless benefits it has to offer. Shea butter is an everyday product in most parts of Africa, where it is a native of. It did take thousands of years for the word to travel outside of Africa but Shea butter is slowly and steadily gaining popularity. And we, at Shea butter XO, are dedicated to take this cause forward and spread awareness about this skin superfood.

Why do you call Shea butter the skin’s best friend?

It moisturises, it conditions, it harmonizes, it heals cracked and chapped skin, it relieves skin from eczema symptoms, it reduces blemishes, scars and marks, it combats acne, it slows signs of ageing and reduces the appearance of fines lines and wrinkles- Shea butter can single-handedly take care of all your everyday skin needs and ensure the wellness of your skin. So you see, Shea butter has earned itself the honour of being called ‘Skin’s Best Friend.’

What happens if my expectations are not met?

To be honest, unless you are expecting it to give you an acne-free, wrinkle-free and blemish-free skin overnight, the likeliness of your expectation not being met are extremely rare. Moisturising and relieving dryness and itchiness-prone skin are the only things that Shea Butter XO will do overnight, for everything else, you need to give it a few days as you would have to do with any other natural remedy. Nonetheless, if the product you receive is not what you wanted or expected, you can return the product for a full refund or store credit. Please read our Shipping & Returns policies to know more about returning a product.

Does Shea butter ever expire?

Unfortunately, it does. Raw Shea butter has a shelf-life of up to 3 years. However, we recommend that you use our blends within 2 years. The best way to ensure a longer shelf-life is to keep it in a cool and dry place and is not exposed to direct sunlight. That said, the whipped blends will lose their fluffiness over a period of 10-12 months, and sooner if they are exposed to a high temperature that melts down the blend. A whipped blend can also be used for up to 2 years even if it has lost its creamy texture. The loss of texture is not an indicator of the product’s expiry.

Is shea butter suitable for all skin types?

Absolutely! It’s an established fact that Shea butter is a great moisturiser which can heal dry, flaky and eczema-affected skin. What people don’t know is that it is also non-comedogenic, which means it does not clog pores and is perfect for use on combination, oily and acne-prone skin. Interestingly, despite being a natural fat it helps reduce acne as it works as a pore cleanser.

How can I be sure that Shea butter will help my skin condition?

There actually is scientific proof authenticating the therapeutic, healing and moisturising effects of Shea butter. But if you are one to not be impressed by research and studies, we say you try out the small pack of any blend and continue only if you are 100% satisfied with the results.

When will I receive the product?

It takes 2-3 business days for us to process your order and 7-10 business days, from the date it has been shipped, for the package to reach you. For more information about your order status and/or returns, please read our Shipping & Returns policies.
